KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Kalamazoo County is included in an Air Quality Alert which has been issued through midnight on Wednesday night for several counties in southwest Michigan by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. EGLE declared Wednesday to be an Action Day for elevated levels of ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the unhealthy for sensitive groups range. Counties along the Lake Michigan are affected. People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which lead to ozone formation.
